Manchester United are set to confirm the signing of Alex Sandro from Juventus after the FA Cup final this weekend, according to reports in the British media.
The Times, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are close to clinching a deal to land the 27-year-old left-back from the Serie A champions this summer.
The same report says that the Red Devils will officially make their move to sign the Brazilian after the FA Cup final showdown against Chelsea FC at Wembley on Saturday evening.
Sandro was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea FC last summer but a switch to west London failed to materialise for the defender.
According to the same story, the arrival of Sandro at Manchester United could spell the end of Luke Shaw’s Red Devils career, with the England international seemingly having failed to win over Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Sandro has been in good form for Juventus this season, scoring four goals and making four assists in 25 Serie A games to help the Italian side win the title.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as Mourinho looks to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
