Regarding the Verification of NIN
Very soon you may start receiving calls and messages from people claiming to be from NIMC, MTN, Airtel, Glo or 9Mobile.
They may not ask for information such as BVN, NIN or card details. That’s too obvious.
They may just tell you that a NIN verification code has been sent to you and you should give them for link up with your phone number.
Techniques like these can be used to carry out Sim swap and online payment related frauds on you.
Please just disregard such communication in its totality.
If your service provider is unable to validate the NIN you submitted, they will instruct you to come to their office for further verification.
